Project for Google Maps

For the assignment, I chose option 2. At the beginning of the year, I am always looking for ways to get the students involved in a light and easy way, and to share a bit of what they did over the summer. This map that I have linked below is an example of what I could possibly see, and is something that I would love to do myself at some point.
The assignment for the students would be to map out one of their summer vacations. They would point out the places that they went to, with links to those places if possible. I wouldn't look for too much information or work from them, but at least giving the class, and myself, a bit of what they enjoy doing.

I think you make a good point that students would find this a fun activity. Obviously anytime we can get our students excited about what they are doing its a plus. Also cool idea about mapping out summer vaccations. If you get I didnt go any were response. They could just map places they went in town (movies, restrants, stores, parks, etc.)
